Question:

I bought a husky 40 kit 10 years ago but never fitted it. I have 4 doors each weighing just under 40kg. Please can you confirm that the kit will hold 160kg from the two little plastic runners. The reason I’ve never fitted it is because the runners don’t look strong enough to hold the weight.

Answer:

Good afternoon Our Husky 40 kit has been designed and tested using 40kg doors so the system should be able to hold your doors no problem.   Many thanks,   Kate   Marketing Assistant

Question:

Ref HF40: Do you have a diagram for a three door folding set (folding to one side), and does this need any additional fixings to the two door set?
Question by: Kate Donkin on 22 Oct 2020, 01:00

Answer:

Good afternoon, To create a 3 door system, the doors must weight below 25kg. You would need to purchase a Husky Folding 40 kit and 3 x 282/S hinges. Many thanks, Kate Marketing Assistant

Question:

What fixings are needed to hold the top rail in place? (Anchor bolts or just screws and rawl plugs?
Question by: Kate Donkin on 26 Oct 2020, 00:00

Answer:

Good afternoon Dave, The fixings would depend on the material you are installing the track to. If installing to a metal frame, anchor bolts would be required. If installing to a timber frame of wall, screws could be used. Many thanks, Kate Marketing Assistant

Question:

Hi I am trying to build a fake wall with 4 hand made lightweight doors, the total length wall to wall would be 3600mm so each section would be 900mm, I want to have 4 doors with 2 doors on each side opening right and left from the center, so this would not be 4 continuous doors it would be 2 separates joining in the middle. Would this system handle these specifications if I bought a 4000mm track and cut to size, then bought 2 separate husky 40 systems ?
Question by: Andy Lees on 22 Apr 2021, 01:00

Answer:

Good morning,   Our Husky Folding kits only cater for a maximum door width of 762mm. To cover your opening width of 3600mm, you would need to use 6 folding doors (2+4). For this application you could purchase a HF40/15 or HF40/30.   Alternatively, you could purchase our https://www.pchenderson.com/product/roomflex-bifold-door-kit/ Roomflex system.   If you have any further questions, please contact our technical team on 0191 377 7345 and they will be happy to help.   Thanks,   Kate Marketing Executive
